Luxe Pack Monaco returns to Monaco’s Grimaldi Center.
The 28th edition of Luxe Pack Monaco opens at the Grimaldi Forum on October 21st and runs through Friday, October 23rd. There will be 450 exhibitors, ready to meet and greet the beauty industry; 15% are first-timers.

Show organizers say they are expecting a 53% increase in the number of attendees—and in 2014, the total count was 8,500. The three-day event will open its doors at 9 am and close at 6 pm.
Nathalie Grosdidier, general director of Luxe Pack Monaco, describes the show as a unique event and global platform, featuring: “avant-garde solutions and exploring new avenues for visitors who are always in search of exclusive and creative inspiration.”

Grosdidier says the show’s new exhibitors were chosen to “focus on the underlying trends, such as the digital revolution, or techniques for differentiation through finishing/decoration, among others.”

A Few Highlights

450 exhibitors will be set up throughout the many halls of the Grimaldi Center.
What can you expect to see at the show this year? Packaging suppliers featuring bottles, caps, pumps, labels, cartons, bags, pouches, sampling supplies and more.

One new area, the “Arena,” will feature supplier innovations—promising to make it easier to see some of the highlights from exhibiting companies, all in one place.

Luxe Pack “Connect Live” is another new area, featured in the Hall Atrium. RFID and NFC automatic data capture technologies will be demonstrated, and attendees can learn how to use these tools as anti-counterfeit solutions and to facilitate traceability.

Don’t miss the exhibit, The History of Perfume, presented in partnership with the Grasse International Perfume Museum. It will showcase “a true voyage of initiation, taking the brands from Grasse to Rome, by way of the Orient and Greece,” organizers say. One of Luxe Pack Monaco’s conferences this year is called “Smart Packaging.” It takes place Thursday, October 22nd, at 2 pm, and it’s about the “digital revolution.” The roundtable discussion will be led by Nicolas Gaudron and Virginia Cruz, managing directors of IDSL, an innovation consultancy and design agency, specializing in service innovation, customer relationships. and innovative multi-channel customer experience design.

The ‘Green’ Event

Luxe Pack in Green aims to call attention to the many eco-friendly materials and processes that suppliers have developed. There will be a Luxe Pack in Green Awards ceremony, like there was at Luxe Pack New York, and it takes place on opening day.

The Green Jury will choose two winners this year. The judges are: His Excellency Bernard Fautrier, VP/delegated administrator of Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation; Sandrine Sommer, sustainable development director, Guerlain; Vitalie Tattinger, marketing director, Tattinger Champagne; Laurent Croguennec, general director, Ecocert; Cecile Lochard, CEO, Citizen Luxury; and Laurence Wittner, editor, Observatoire des Cosmétiques; and the Minister of State of the Principality of Monaco, Michel Roger.

New Suppliers and The Luxe Formulation Show

Among the new exhibitors at the show this year are Adhespack, a Brazilian company that offers smart sampling solutions; Eliza Srl, a company that specializes in handmade direct screen printing techniques for glass; and Roberts Metal Packaging, a leading European manufacturer of aluminum and tin containers.

Luxe Formulation is the “fair within the fair” that launched at last year’s Luxe Pack Monaco show. It will run simultaneously with the show again this year, and it features its own group of exhibitors that includes contract manufacturers and product suppliers. This year’s exhibitors at Luxe Pack Formulation include BCM Cosmétiques, Lessonia, Alpol Cosmétiques, and Elidose.
